I'm surprised everyone is not all over this. What's the down-side.

Well, Bartman, funny you should ask!

OK, here's the scoop: I think this'd be a hoot to do and Sam Wilson also jumped in volunteering to help. You know what that means: two seasoned comics consumers' reviews in one posting, which means more for your money!

We're going to give this a shot this week. Sam and I are in the process of divvying up which of us will do which books. The caveat is that we'll only be buying titles we'd normally buy so you guys will be victims of our preferences. We'll cover current comics and trades, as well as "classic books you should be reading!"

I don't want to commit us to a regular schedule so we'll do this as we can. Who knows? Mayb it'll turn into a regular thing? We'll just see how it goes.

Thanks to furie for getting this started!

But for the record both of us read a crap load of comics. You'all will be getting a (hopefully) diverse spectrum.

I'm really excited about this. These two gentlemen have already turned me on to countless titles, artists, dvds, etc. Their taste is top-shelf. I really respect both of their opinions and look forward to their thoughts.

Yep! "Crap load" pretty much sums up how my wife describes my comics collection. After the boxes, boxes and more boxes of comics I brought out to sort a couple of weeks ago when we organized our storage room, and then seeing the mother load I bring home each Wednesday, those were the very words (lovingly spoken, of course) she used to describe the amount of comics I read!
