Hi guys,
My 5 year old daughter said to me " daddy , I don't think you know what cat people look like, so I made some changes" so I wanted to share my "art director's vision"

Here's what she and I agreed on in the end
I know he still looks real bad, but once I take him to wax I will tweak him.
BTW if completed this will be true 1/6th, maybe 12 inches or so... it is based on the art from the intro which clearly had better quality than the actual cartoon... it is a bit more anime-ish...
Thanks for looking,
-Erick

Yes, Hard Hero, and Pop Culture, my favorite being the HH stuff, it is more reminiscent of the animation, but you gotta love Ed McGuiness as well.

I would love to be able to produce these.... but I think Thundercats may be a very expensive License, then again Pop Culture is not a huge company and I believe it is owned by Jerry only ( I could be wrong), so it may not be that expensive.... here's hoping

I just found out fairly recently that a lot of the popular 80s American cartoons were actually animated by Japanese companies. The openings had that fluid feel of anime. Most Japanese anime have really cool openings. I was thinking about starting a thread about classic cartoon characters that would make good statues. Shows like Thundercats, Silverhawks, Bionic Six, and Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers. I think I put some of these in your Koto request thread a while back.

This looks really cool Erick....GREAT JOB!!!

How about doing Mako the leader of the Tigersharks next, and then Quicksilver the leader of the Silverhawks after that, and then fill in the ranks of each team?

That would cover all of the Rankin Bass/Lorimar Telepictures superhero animated series....
