I keep hoping that Marvel will someday broker a deal to create a ROM omnibus as well as Micronauts. Those books would sell like crazy.

I do think it is a shame that there are books like ROM and and the Micronauts that cannot be gathered in a collected editions at all. I never really read ROM (other than when the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants appeared) but I did read Micronauts for maybe a year and at the time I did enjoy it (plus it had gorgeous Michael Golden artwork). I do think that both have enough of a fanbase that collected editions of both books would sell.

I don't even know what a Micronaut looks like ??? I hear the name here and there but never checked it out. I saw some ROM covers though, he is called a Space Knight, right ? I don't know, the ROM is just a boxy looking robot, his design is lack luster for sure, but there is a loyal fan base for ROM, even in Turkiye. I saw a facebook Turkish ROM fan group and stuff.

I bought many of those 80s Marvel comics licensed from toys: Micronauts, ROM, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Team America, US1. I never bought Shogun Warriors. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

Never got into those types of comics, personally, though they get good press.

I was following IDW Transformers Deluxes, but from way behind at Phase Two vol. 4... And now, IDW dropped the rights to Transformers and all the Deluxes became so hard to find and some of them super OOP, because there will be no reprints... :/ I pay the prince for fooling around because i thought IDW Transformers Deluxes were evergreen. :/

I sampled them all, but never liked any enough to read them for any length of time. Team America and US1 I believe were canceled after 12 issues so I stayed until the end with those. On the other hand, I might have dropped G.I. Joe and Transformers after only one issue. I thought ROM and Micronauts were the best of the lot outshining the toys, but never read those regularly either.
