It is. And these shipping timelines and delays are one reason my interest in this hobby has started to decline. Heck, the perfect character/pose could be revealed next week but then it may take 3-4 months to go up for preorder, another 1-2 years to be produced, and then another 2-3 months for it to arrive on my doorstep. Part of me is like - why am I putting myself through this?

And on top of that, you are hoping (praying) the production piece looks like the prototype.

I don't think that's really a fair statement/assessment.

Dec '22 - is 1 year and 4 months
May '23 - is 1 year and 9 months

You are taking the longest estimate and adding 3 months to it.

Prime 1 says Oct '22 - Jan '23 which is 14 months to 17 months (less than a month and a half).

It's been pretty clear to me that SS has been putting in very very late AND broad arrival dates to cover their @$$ so that people can't use their cancellation policy on delays caused by P1/Covid/Shipping/etc. That's a lot of NRD's they lose on these pricey items.

There are a few P1 items that are taking forever, but most get into collectors hands in under 2 years and many in less than a year and a half.

I haven't noticed that. Black Widow, for example, went up for preorder this week with a 3 month shipping window beginning just 10 months from now. I'm not sure any company is doing it better.

I'm referring to Prime1 items going up for PO on sideshow only. Not sideshow stuff.

There?s a review on YouTube by Top Gun Collector of this piece. But yeah nothing on this forum, maybe no one here could afford this or has room for it.
