Yea, it just seems like common sense that they'll go back to the original form in not much time. Good method for a taking a photo, but probably not a final solution. I'm thinking the black washers are the only way. I still got time waiting on it to decide.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

You can alway remove the dreads, drill a channel and add some wires

Nah, I'm not doing all that. That could be a disaster and devalue it if not done perfectly. You can send me one of your portraits to get a practice run on doing the dred's before doing it on mine. Just send me the Gort head, it's cool!

What are everyone's thoughts on using a can of compressed air to expedite the cooling process?
I would not do this. You could risk cooling too quickly/frosting the surface, resulting in crazing or other damage to the surface. Don't ask me how I know this

Not really sure why a warning based on actual practical experience is a point of humor, but you all do you, with your $3K statue. No need to learn from my mistakes.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Gotcha. I've only ever done this with soft vinyl or cheap toys. Would make sense to play it more conservatively with a statue.

An update in regards to the dreads a few days later. They have naturally dropped down since the original pic I took however much better than the initial out of box dreads. I?ll keep the forum in the loop but I think this is how they will stay naturally which I?m happy with
