It's a risk, I have taken it and will continue. If something is not right I will contact XM Studios Support, already did and they answered me with no problem. If the package is lost, it's for me. I won't "break his back" like you insuanate...unless they are like XM Europe support.
Unlike XM Europe support which is basically "shut up and do what I ask" with zero respect for the customer. They are not understanding.
They are not a respectful person too, and not only to customer but also to retailer.
If the support was top notch, I wouldn't mind paid high price, but the fact is it's a pain in the ass.
With high price comes high responsability
