Fabric and pigments can also just decay...

Blue isn't a very stable pigment.

Fabric can also dry rot over time and due to low\high humidity or heat especially anything with any kind of stretch property.

Yeah, thing is I also have the original Captain America PF and his blue pants are as bright as ever and I've had him longer than Superman. The Superman is the only one I've noticed a change on. and also, the florescent lights are not directly over the PF but on the drop down ceiling about 5-6 feet away.

Has anyone tried to actually clean the fabric on it? And if so, what do you use or suggest using?

Yeah, same here. First batch EX and it looks like the day I got it.
