Hayley Atwell adds about coming back as Peggy Carter...
"The one-shot was so successful, the fanbase were like, ‘We want more of Peggy! I think Marvel probably take that very seriously, and it’s certainly something I would be a part of doing. I’d be interested to show different sides of Peggy. Although she’s kick-ass, and she can be aggressive and just as competent as the men, it’d be nice to show that she’s a feminist in a way. It’s not just about her being aggressive and as aggressive as the men in those action sequences, but being able to be a little bit more rounded as a person.”
This will be the second Marvel show on ABC. Again its a prequel to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It is expected be out Fall 2014

Looks like Marvel is testing the waters with a tv show before a big budget production with a female lead.

This is going to be quite expensive being a period drama. But I always thought it would be so much more interesting than AoS. Seeing Stark and his creations alongside Carter will be interesting.

Oh I know. I'm just saying this has potential to be more expensive to produce than AoS. They are certainly putting their money up.

Hopefully they will announce some animated movies too. Compared to DC their animated features are mostly miss than hit so far.

They have. There is something called Big 6 which is a Marvel/Disney co-op.

You should check out the BBC two parter called Restless. She is quite good in it.
