My favorite is the Royal Ruby Edition with the shiny, electric blue costume and cape. The gold filigree detail on her costume is awesome, and the blue looks so great with her skin! This is my top choice, and I had the regular black too, but sold her to keep the Royal Ruby Edition.

Regular with black bikini
Because it doesn't have a cape hiding her awesome buttocks. Probably one of the best butts in sculpt today. I also love the blue shadowing on the skin, it looks great on her butt too, lol. I also like LD more simple, not a fan of all the adornments on the other versions. Her outfit is also more realistic on the original. It looks like tight leather or vinyl, unlike the later versions that have the gloss. The contrast of her white and blue skin look really awesome with the flat black paint.

I can only judge by the one I have and that is the regular black bikini one. I just like the simplicity of the statue and the pose without the obstruction of the cape. Although I am leaning towards getting the white faux bronze piece to have as well.

And pretty much what Dechirico said too.

It seems an awful crime to see Clay doing Lady Death when there are other artists (IMO) far less talented doing Marvel women for the other companies. Nothing against Lady Death in principle. I'm just not into the character. However, you can just see this statue being converted into numerous other Marvel and DC characters, e.g., Emma, Black Cat, Enchantress, Lady Sif, and Valkyrie are no brainers.

P.S. I used to have the first LD Clay did some time in the 90s. It was always one of the first pieces people pointed out, right before they asked why the other statues weren't as pretty.

Very true, Charles.

Clay could have made a killing if he went back and just sold an unpainted version of his She Dragon statue. How many of those have been converted into DC or Marvel heroines? He could have made the bottom of the base different so it wouldn't interfere with the normal She Dragon production run..

GG,

I don't think you can go wrong with either the regular or the ruby red. Let us know which one you decide on!!
