Fathom/Kabuki Faux Bronze Press Release

In regard to comic statue collecting, what really is the definition of “Extremely Limited”? It seems to me that those words are used very loosely and the definition can vary quite a bit. I’ve wanted to offer the members of this forum something very special and very limited and I’ve given this a lot of thought. The question is what to do, who to do it with and how many to make of these very special Statue Forum Exclusive statues. I’ve spoken to manufacturers, I’ve looked at buying trends, at what I like, and at what would be exciting and interesting for the members to collect.

First question: what look to give these special editions? I can say I really like the look of a nice statue done with a faux bronze finish and members seem to agree. If it’s done well, it looks great. How many to make so collectors feel they really have something special? To me, that number is 150. These need to be rare and 150 unit edition is rare. And finally, who to do this with? Well, I wanted to do this with a company who’s known for great sculpting, quality manufacturing and who takes care of their customers. To me, that’s got to be the CS Moore Studio. So I talked to Clay about a very limited line of faux bronze pieces of his finest works and we have it all worked out.

Stay tuned Statue Afficionados, cause this is going to be great! More soon.

If they can work out a faux bronze Barbarian/Conan, I definately want in on that, seems it would be unlikely though.

We already have Series 1 pretty much worked out. I think once the Paint Master is done on the first one, we will then release pics and upcoming pieces.

Very great news that the two mighty forces have chosen to team-up. I've never been a huge fan of faux bronze. I'm a fan of color and detailed paints on my statues. Will faux bronze be the last word on your team-up? Variants work for me. If it's set in stone, that's great too, I realize that there are a lot of fans of FB on SF.
