The Exorcist is a film i have been well aware of for many years. Something prevents me from seeking it out. It looks too scary.

I used to feel the same way about the movie for years until I randomly watched it with a roommate of mine when I was in my 20's. It's definitely not as disturbing and scary as I would have thought, but even now years later I still wouldn't want to watch it alone

There's a great 20 min film on YT called 'Cultural Impact of The Exorcist 1973' which shows footage from the 70s with people queuing for 24 hours to see it and people fainting in the cinema after walking out half-way through the film, the mass hysteria around this film when it was originally released will never be seen again, it was a remarkable event.

I remember watching in theater years ago and afterward we went to a restaurant for dinner. I went to the restroom and it was freezing and it freaked me out. Lol
