... Pixar's awesome; 'nuff said.
A no brainer for me, I picked it up the day it came out. Of course after I bought it at Target I saw it for a $1 less at Walmart.

6 new titles announced from Scream Factory

Quote:
***EXCLUSIVE "SUPER-SIZED" ANNOUNCE!***

The wait is over! We can now officially reveal some really cool and beloved horror classics from the 80s that will be coming from the "Factory" in 2013:

- THE FOG (1980): John Carpenter's seaside g...hostly revenge flick with Adrienne Barbeau and Jamie Lee Curtis. New extras are in the works! First time on Blu-ray

- THE BURNING (1981): Summer Camp. Garden shears. Tom Savini effects. Need we say more? First time on Blu-ray

- THE HOWLING (1981): Joe Dante's ultimate werewolf pic with superb Rob Bottin effects. First time on Blu-ray.

- LIFEFORCE (1985): Tobe Hooper's space vampires and light-show extravaganza finally gets its first ever anamorphic widescreen presentation! First time on Blu-ray.

- NIGHT OF THE COMET (1984): Shopping and zombies highlight this post-Doomsday cult classic. First time on Blu-ray.

- DAY OF THE DEAD (1985): George Romero's splattery undead classic gets a new collector's edition with new extras.

More details on all of these frightfests will be revealed more next year. Have a great weekend!
I'm probably down for 5 of 6.

Never cared for Night of the Comet myself so I'll be skipping that one.

Day of the Dead will have to be an improvement over the existing BD release for me to double dip.

REALLY excited about The Howling, Lifeforce and The Fog though.

Brave on BD is $10 on Black Friday at Wal-Mart.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Nice! I'm down for 4 of those, skipping Night of the Comet and The Burning. Never seen The Burning, any good? The problem with these is that I haven't even picked up the first batch since I'm waiting for a price drop.

Probably, but Amazon is doing it twice this week as a lightning sale for $8.96. On either Thursday or Friday and then again on Monday.

The only movie I didn't recognize on your list was "... Comet", Scott.

Sign me up for a few of those.. gah; I forget the gist of "The Fog" (besides the obvious implications.. lol).. need to dig that up on-line.

I haven't seen The Burning either. I've read enough about it that I'm going to blind buy it though. If I hate it I'll just throw it up on eBay after I'm done with it and it'll only cost me a couple bucks to view a movie on BD that I've wanted to see forever.

The only title I've picked up so far is Halloween III: Season of the Witch and that was off eBay for $16.99. Prices on these don't seem to be budging much on Amazon and I'm honestly not sure they will. If I can get the rest of the titles from the first batch I want for around the same price I'll be happy but its been rather difficult as these seem to retain their value on the secondary market pretty well.

Ah thanks. No way I was venturing into Wal-Mart so I was hoping there would be some online deals to match.
