Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

I'm not as big a fan as some of the live action film. So, another attempt would be fine by me. I think an animated version would be cool to see, anyway.

Don't need this. The watchmen extended edition is all we need . . . its pretty much perfect; as some of you have already indicated. That being said, I did miss the giant alien/dimensional creature destroying NYC rather than a boring bomb.

I honestly think having Veidt teleporting his giant squid monster into the heart of New York City would've been hard as hell to pull off without looking silly. The sub plot worked in the graphic novel but on film you'd run the risk of minimizing the impact of the event by potentially making it laughable, especially to the casual/non comic book reading movie going audience. The bomb achieves the same effect by ending the Cold War and instigating world peace in a less fantastical/otherworldly fashion so it was a smart compromise IMO.

Haven't read it, so I didn't know anything about that. I believe you're absolutely correct, as that sounds awful.

It also implicates Dr. Manhattan which makes him leave Earth. It's a much more intelligent solution from a so called genius then a giant hentai tentacle monster.

I found the telepathic tentacle monster laughable when I read the graphic novel.
