WARNING for anyone who has the SS Powerloader Diorama

I just finished packing up my Sideshow Aliens Powerloader Diorama only to discover the paint and what looks like even the resin melted anywhere the black rubber hoses touched it. They left some pretty deep grooves along the yellow tubes and pistons and removed a lot of paint along one of the arms.

Sorry I did not think to take any pictures when I was packing it as I was just too frustrated knowing my investment may be lost now when I try to sell it.

If anyone else has this diorama on display please check to see if you have the same issues and if so maybe provide some pics. I really don't know how to get around this issue as no matter how you display this statue the hoses are going to be touching the loader in MANY places.

Nice job Sideshow!

Sorry to hear about the damage. This lack of "engineering"has always concerned me. We'be seen cracking and peeling paint; cracking, warping and broken resin; and now melting. My guess the "rubber" hoses outgassed fumes that are a solvent for the resin.

This is mostly the facotry's fault by the producer has to shre part of the blame in not ensuring the long-term stability of the product.
