DRAGONSLAYER (1981)

I love the Dark Ages setting. Great story, great characters. I actually like it more now than I did back then.
I remember seeing this in the theaters when it 1st came out. Took a girl from school that I was crushing on ... & managed to build up the courage to hold her hand during the movie. Well, she didn't jerk back, so I thought I had it made-in-the-shade! Did the thumb-rub, etc ... only to find, when the lights came up at the end, that she was asleep through the whole flick. Like you, I'll never forget Dragonslayer.

The Master (2012) - 4/10

I'm no fan of L. Ron Hubbard, but I'd rather join the Church of Scientology than have to sit through this again.

Getting caught up on some missed movies:

Oblivion: 8/10.
Good. Well told and interesting. Cruise always hit or miss with me.

World War Z: 7.5/10
I loved the book. Other than the name, this had nothing to do with the book

As a movie, it's a good zombie action film.

Jack Reacher: 8/10
I hear the books are beloved, and Tom cruise is miscast. Having not read them, it was an enjoyable view. Look forward to reading the source material.

Pacific Rim: 8/10
There is nothing deep or meaningful about this movie, except the ocean they fight in. That said, that was visually an amazing movie.

Thor - 8/10

This holds up as one of the better Marvel solo adventures. Watching this right before seeing The Dark World makes me appreciate it even more.

Thor: The Dark World - 9/10

One of the best Marvel films to date and an improvement over the first in every category. The settings and production value on this one really make it a stand out in the Avengers arc. Huge step up after the disappointing Iron Man 3. Fizzles just a bit in the third act on Earth but still a solid adventure.

Frozen. 7/10

The 3d was amazing. Not just stuff flying at the screenat you but all the scenes truly looked 3D. Story was good and not the normal disney princess marrying off on the lead man.

Machete Kills
8/10

Funny and entertaining for reasons I can really explain. Would highly recommend watching this movie after having a drink or two.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - The Special Edition Where Greedo Shoots First, Boba Fett Breaks The Fourth Wall, and The Explosions Look Really Impressive (1997) - 5/10

Wreck-It Ralph (2012) - 7/10
I normally don't think much of these formulaic animated films, but this one was pretty good. Maybe it was all the old-school video game references...

I'm happy to hear this, I really liked the first one, I'm very much looking forward to this.
