Playing for Keeps. Fun enough movie with the always charismatic Butler. 6/10

A time to kill. 8/10. Brilliant cast and excellent story. I had forgotten just how good this movie was.

Ain't Them Bodies Saints (2013) some really fantastic acting and cinematograpy but nothing that we haven't seen before. The leads Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara are brilliant as is the very under rated Ben Foster. 6.5/10

I thought it was easily Hugh Jackman's best film. I liked very much how the prisoner theme was prominent right to the very last scene. It's a very smart thriller. I agree with Bullseye. 8/10

Mauvais Sang / Bad Blood (1986) - A young thief becomes enchanted with the girlfriend of his much older colleague.
The big selling point for me was a young Juliette Binoche and Julie Delpy in the same movie. The fact that it was directed by Leos Carax who also did Holy Motors was icing on the cake really. And yes, this was the inspiration for the Bowie "Modern Love" running scene in Frances Ha. Loved it. 9/10

One of the best films of the year, really liked it. Gyllenhaal was great too.

Philomena (2013) - A world-weary political journalist picks up the story of a woman's search for her son, who was taken away from her decades ago after she became pregnant and was forced to live in a convent.
This is a very charming movie. No surprise, Judi Dench is great as the Irish mum. 8/10

John Dies at the End 5/10
Not sure what to rate this, gave it a 5 because I don't think I understand it?
Sinister 4/10
