Just spent the afternoon watching the 1989 Batman and Galaxy Quest. Rate them both 8/10.

In a industry filled with Movies relying on CGI too save poor acting and bad action choreography this movie was a welcome surprise. The narrative was convincing and for a unknown director I thought it was done quite well, I am a bit of a Keanu Reeves fan, I like his movies ,there is a certain sincerity in his acting which I really like.

But.. there are some issues in the editing AND an actual laugh track during a certain scene, dont know what that was about.
Happy to see a positive review. Will most likely blind buy this one.

Saw this in the theater but was half asleep been waiting for the right day and ability to watch it in 3D/

Prometheus - 9/10

So much about this movie is fantastic to go into detail would require a very long review.

Only had a couple noticeable issues but I dont want to say too much as spoilers are not allowed so I will leave it at that.

The Invisible Woman (2013) - At the height of his career, Charles Dickens meets a younger woman who becomes his secret lover until his death.

It's a very well-done period piece. The subject of gender inequality is brought up in the film and I couldn't help but make note that Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas, who played lovers in the movie The English Patient several years ago, are reunited here except now his character is paired with her character's daughter. I know the movie is based on real events, but I still found that fact unintentionally symbolic. 8/10

Wolf of Wall Street - 7/10

It was good - DiCaprio was real good - but it seemed to sensationalize rather than criminalize this guy who (has still) stolen people's money.

Captain Phillips - 8/10

Another one I thought was real good - Hanks makes this movie great - especially the last 10 minutes

We just saw The Wolf of Wall Street as well. My wife made the same comment. As entertaining, fascinating and shocking as the whole thing is, it does seem to glamourise it all a bit. And you're right, other than being a misogynist and a drug addict, the guys was basically ripping people off. Apparently, he agreed to hand over all profits from the book and movie deals (to the gov.) to help pay back some of those people, so I suppose that's something. Anyway, I'd give it an 8/10

After Earth ~ 2/10

Just when you thought that M. Night Shyamalan couldn't sink any lower...he manages to come out with this turd. I'm being generous even giving it a 2/10. If I had paid to watch this it'd be a 1/10
