i thought it will be a disaster but after reading that Stephen Chow is producing, this actually means there is a chance that this movie will be good....i hope

true.
The story has to be top notch and stay true to the anime and manga, but at least the CGI will be good, for example the flight and aerial fights and perhaps Piccollo's elongating arms.
I am not hoping for an exact replica of the anime or manga, but I hope that at least it will be close, but judging from the pics so far...not good.

i remember reading many years back when DBZ was huge in america and they were trying to make the movie that Akira wasn't going to be allowed to be involved in the movie, that to me right there said how god awful it would be, and i can't imagine anything changing

Variety recently reported Emmy Rossum, from "The Day Afer Tomorrow" and "Phantom of the Opera" has joined "Dragon Ball Z" based on the Japanese manga by Akira Toriyama's.
