That is what happens when this industry decided to up the ante by 3 - 5 times the price it was 6 - 8 years ago. Much of it was based on them being babies about the after sale market a year or two later (value increase). Companies cannot deal with anything of theirs becoming worth more than retail and not profiting off of it.

This hobby is shifting to collectors with fat pockets . Common collectors can’t afford it but they can that’s the money and market they want.

I am sooooo mad at myself for passing on this statue.
Of course, now I really want it.
Should never doubt a Caleb Nefzen statue again, that'll teach me...

Scorpion was $879 plus shipping for me 
I'd rather pay $900 for XM than $600+ for Sideshow. (I have SS pieces). Quality is easy win for XM.
At $900, that's what two IronMan Hot Toys now? {shrug}

Same I cannot fathom paying $750 for Sideshow Magneto and it still has a fabric cape and I have to worry about it having QC issues and not matching prototype quality. I'll pay a little bit extra and get XM.

Who knows if there'll ever be another 1/4 Scorpion, and XM nailed this one. Probably the best Spidey rogue and if not he's definitely up there. I think a well done Shocker could do 250-300 pieces and XM would be our only hope!

I mean aren't we always gonna miss out on something in this Hobby? Unless you have unlimited funds and live in a castle or 2 you're gonna have to make tough decisions. Don't feel too bad man its a balancing act we don't always get right. Hopefully one will turn up for you with a good price.
