It's by no means an EX or fail, but I absolutely love the EX. Her hair from the back is just gorgeous. I'm not sure how sold I am on the blue highlights.... I may need to see how strong/subtle the factory ends up making them.

Would people be upset is this was primarily made up of lightweight PVC?

Even with a substantial rod, wouldn't polystone be more influenced by environmental factors like high temps, etc that could exacerbate the lean?

I don't know. I'm just asking.

I love how this looks from a lower angle. Especially the portrait. And it sells the magic effect well.

If I were considering planning to get this, I'd either work up a small, in-scale preformance placard with her name, and the typical ballyhoo verbiage, and construct a little easel out of balsa wood to set up next to it-or I'd make a simple red velveteen curtain backdrop to set up behind it.
Having this on a small turntable in front of it would make a hell of a display.

The exclusive helps make this a little more specific character piece, rather than just a pretty, but generic, magician which is always the problem (for me) seeing this character represented in a figure or statue.

I would think that PVC could also bend in high heat because it becomes more flexible.

The rod in the base can't be huge unless her leg is directly attached to it. For example, the rod runs the length of the base and makes a sharp bed to come up through the ball of her foot and up her leg. And the rest of the body attaches at her hip.

In theory the whole of the lower leg including the foot area could be made from metal, like they did with Rogue's right arm.
The rest of the statue could connect via the right thigh, which is wide enough to house a thick metal rod to insert into the lower leg.
That's my guess. Maybe Sideshow will offer more info.

My thinking was that PVC would be much lighter, so the pull of gravity wouldn't be as great as it would be for a heavier polystone.

But physics was always a tough subject for me, so I'm just spitballing.

I'll be looking forward to seeing SS discuss all this at some point.

The fishnets look great here, and I'm not seeing a seam. It would be a shame if that element took the usual hit in production.
They even look better than the fishnets on the 1/3 JND Harley, at more than 3x the price.
