Does anyone share my childhood fear?

Is it just me or did David Bowie in Labyrinth freak anyone out?

I always used to find it a bit disturbing, but never quite knew why. My better half put it on the other day and I was freaked out all over again.

He kidnaps a BABY to get a FOURTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL to fall in love with him, and he surrounds himself with rubber faced, singing gnome things (much like Michael Jackson!)

I also wondered-did Bowie's codpiece get a mention in the credits, anything that inspired so much fear in so many people needs to win some sort of award!

Just thought I'd lighten things up a bit peolpe seem to have got the Christmas blues lately

An androgynous child molester scary? . . . . NAW! David Bowie invade my dreams? Fuggedaboutit! Jennifer Connelly? Oh yeah, baby!!!

What I find really scary is that Gary Kurtz and his production company - with all the money and resources at their disposal - couldn't find someone for the role who could actually act. Bowie's fright wig has more thespic skill than he does.

And if you think that's really scary, wait til you hear how much the guy made in salary on that movie.

I have never finished watching "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" cause it scared me as a kid. I only watched up to the part where some guy was trying to catch kids in a big butterfly net. (something like that)
Just creeped me right out.

How much did Bowie make????

The one ballroom dance scene semmed pretty weird. Drug-a-delic.

I didn't like it when the junk yard creature started to put all that junk on
Jennifer to keep her from reaching the castle.

I think your reading to much into the child molester thing. I believe the
Goblin King is suppose to be ageless.

But the movie is AWESOME for it's time. And still holds up today.
