David Hayter Talks Black Widow Film

Screenwriter David Hayter told The Continuum that the Black Widow movie should go into production this year.

"I am handing in my script for Black Widow to Lion's Gate this month, and understand that they want to get into production right away," Hayter told The Continuum. "I am directing this one."

Two other comics films that Hayter has been working on could go into production this year.

Hayter did a rewrite on Iron Man for New Line Cinema, and since then, Nick Casavettes has been attached to direct.

Paramount Pictures is beginning pre-production on Watchmen, with Paul Greengrass set to direct from Hayter's script.

I wonder who they have in mind to play the lead role? Is Milla Jovovich the obvious choice?

If Milla Jojovich plays Black Widow then we will probably get a nekkid Black Widow at some point in the film!!

Haha that would be sweet! Hayter finally directing, could be interesting. You guys know he's the voice of Solid Snake right? If they ever make a movie of MGS they'd have to use him!

Peta Wilson would be a great choice if she still has a few of her 15 minutes left. It would be even better if they could come up with a screen play that will save us from having to see Affleck.

yeah, her 15 minutes are probably done, but she will always be a full-time hottie as far as I'm concerned.

I thought Watchmen was in turnaround or had switched studios... I'm not sure if Greengrass or Hayter are still attached... I am wrong about many, many things however...

And Black Widow could be a very good adaptation, I would compare BW to Blade in that she's not too iconic to change some things but she's not too overly "Superhero" either...

Ya know already their not going to use the 'widow costume'.

So what will make this any diffrent from "Aeon Flux", 'cept she will be russian?

I'm almost to the point they need to stop making 'comicbook' movies.
They keep mucking them up.
