I dont think the water is painted. I think the color is integrated with the resin. Doubt it would look right IMO.

Thanks!

First impressions: the statue came out great! The face is one of the prettiest sideshow has ever done. The translucent part are very nice and looks better in real life than photo.
The base is maybe not as great as the prototype but still it has a very nice water effect.
Overall the paint is really great.

To resume: I don't regret my purchase!!

Funny I never noticed that the left feet don't touch the ground of the base!

Dat body...

Why did they have to mess up the water effect??? Sticking to the prototype would have made this close to a grail!

The ex hand doesn't work for me. The way it was designed, it looks weird.

I've been looking at these pics on and off and I think the way the water looks in the production piece is better and looks more like water would. The ocean, depending on where you are does have a deep blue look to it, but if you did start to bring it up like that in streams that are that narrow, it would go clear. They did an excellent job with it and the white foaming effect really sells it. This thing is beautiful overall.

Like a lot of you, I do prefer the 2 hands down look. It just bring the whole piece together. Really sells the fact she's controlling the water that's rising up on either side of her.

Totally feel the same way about the hand placement, but I do like the effect of the clear hand on the ex. On Monday I guess I will see which I prefer!
