Nostalgia huh? A movie that came out almost twenty years ago is the 54th highest grossing film in Korea isn't something deserving of nostalgia? I guess some random Marvel movie no one will care about in two years is though.

Never saw the movie (I'm sure it's on my watchlist somewhere), but glad to see JND do something different (i.e., not a character that another company is announcing at the same time). It might not make sense to the Western market, but it probably makes sense to their home South Korean market (like with Oldboy). Also, I can see a bit of how past projects have influenced the design of this (Basquiat plus JL WW), so the growth/evolution is interesting to see.

Oldboy was a big deal worldwide if you were a film person. Maybe not for the typical summer action guy or mainstream movie watcher, but for those deeply into film it remains one of the most important Korean films to ever come out

When I zoom in, I just can’t help thinking that the fabric looks too thick, and rough. But I guess at this scale there’s probably no helping that.
So far, looks pretty interesting.
I wonder if JND will ever do the same with their other movie pieces and choose more involved bases that set a scene. But of course that will potentially end up clashing with their current line up.

I assume this will probably fall next in line for their platinum line.

What a beautiful and classy statue.
I'm not even thinking about buying this since there's no attachment for me and I can't afford to buy such expensive, big pieces solely on their visual appeal.
An analogous piece that would be tempting is obviously Sharon Stone in her famous Basic Instinct interrogation scene, especially after Blitzway dropped the ball big time by butchering K.A. Kim's wonderful sculpt on production, but what this new JND piece gives me hope about is the not-so-remote-now chance of one day having Michelle Pfeiffer as Susie Diamond in The Fabulous Baker Boys. Now that's something I'd give an arm for, the whole piano and all.
By the way, I hope the project they mention in the video as having been pushed back is not the one I'm thinking of, but it certainly looks like it
