Within the umbrella of Marvel, humor obviously has given the edge to GotG2, as opposed to the Marvel films below that list. People LOVE to laugh and will come back for more viewings.

All they can do is hope they have appealed to as many viewers as possible.
EXCELLENT point Luminous! Well said.

If by "everyone" you mean 100%, then sure. But I think it's safe to say Marvel and Gunn covered MOST of their fanbase with Vol. 2.

Thanks. I'll take the abuse when I've admitted many times I liked Green Lantern, MOS, and BvS.

Yes, play the innocent card. If I hadn't seen you do this same act multiple times I'd give you the benefit of the doubt and say I misjudged your comment. But I know better.

I don't get the reference, sorry.

But, IF what you're saying is that you don't believe me then there's nothing I can do about that. I take my integrity very seriously and never would knowingly say something that's not true. In addition, I always try to be respectful to others and of others' opinions. You seem to be rubbed the wrong way by nearly whatever I post so let's just leave it at that.

Not saying I don't believe you. Nor am I calling you a liar. Just stating that I am not surprised that you don't see what I've pointed out.

The Jack reference is from Fight Club, btw.

I'll have to watch it again, I don't recall the reference.

And I DO get what you're saying. This, again, is understanding the other person's opinion even if you don't share it. I understand completely how you read nbr's emoticon. I didn't read it the same way. I understand completely that you loved GotG 2 and Alien: Covenant. I didn't. Different strokes for different folks. That's all I've been saying this whole time in both threads.

Come on nbr...clearly your comment was condescending. Why would you be laughing? Let's call it what it is.

Utterly forgettable entry into the MCU IMO.
I thought there was enough story there. The narrative was a little here and there at times, but it was a fun ride and I think that was the key motivator behind the movie. I seem to be less critical than some with these (comic) movies, but I'm not sure what people are looking for with this one...GOTG has, to me, taken on the mantle of the 'rock n' roll' franchise, if you will, for the MCU. Just sit back and enjoy.
