I started to read Ennis Punisher Omni and i'm 7 issues in and i must tell, it's awesome. I wonder what will happen when all the Punisher copycat characters meet with The Punisher... And i think The book's more adult compared to The Batman books since it is a Marvel Knights title cause there are kind of cops in this book that you will never see in a Batman book first of all. A Loser cop, cops being mean to other cops, plain insensitive cops, female cops who were forced to sleep with commissioners by commissioners and a female cop who was labeled as a disgrace by the departmant cause she rafused to sleep with her commissioner and assigned to an impossible case because of that etc. You won't see those in Batman. Well, i have never seen anyway, and there are alot of blood in MK Punisher, Punisher is darker yet has more humor lol Ennis goodness I compare it to Batman cause Batman is the book which has cop characters and it is involved with cops as much as Marvel Knights Punisher. The issue where DD came was decent, Ennis doesn't like super heroes so i was expecting something emberesing for DD lol DD got off the hook easy, if you ask me. It was close... lol Don't get me wrong, i like DD and super heroes.

I hope Marvel will collect Punisher Max series in Omnibus format too so we can have all Ennis Punisher in Omnibus format, that would be great.

Great news on the Punisher MAX book. Got all the Thor books. Now we have to wait for Waid's Captain America and the Classic X-Men omnibus.

It’s great, no question. Not the same classic and wondrous run that Simonson had. So, I have to say no, not as good Simonson Thor. But Simonson Thor has a level of greatness that most runs never achieve. All that said, having read the Jurgens/JRJR stories when they came out, it’s really awesome writing and art, reminiscent of, but not equal to, the best grandeur of the Lee/Kirby days. I highly recommend it.

So.... should I get the Simonson Thor over the Ennis Punisher? Or either of the recently released Hulk books?

I say Simonson Thor all the way. I put that run in the top three of all time.

Which would you say is better: Simonson Thor or Brubaker Captain America?
