My neighbor has just given the print-out of a novel he's written to read and provide feedback. It's a semi-mystery dealing with corporate ethics. I'm honored and flattered that he's asked my opinion. I'm 150 pages deep and so far, I'm liking what I'm reading. I gotta admit, I'm surprised by what this guy has to say....some pretty steamy stuff in there from a nice man I talk roses with in the summer months.

The Drought by JG Ballard - an excellent natural disaster story. And next up is his novel, The Drowned World, which presents the opposite scenario.
