Meh. Still not doing anything for me. Venom just isn’t interesting enough to carry his own feature IMO. Without Spider-Man in the equation it just looks like an amalgamation of several other cliched Hollywood narratives.

Tom is only as good as the story and the writing...and I fear those are both going to be poor

not really digging Venom's look or voice either

didnt have high hopes for this one anyway, I knew from the word go it would not do the character justice, considering the spider-man circumstances

I actually think I might be more interested if it had nothing to do with Spider-Man/Venom (as little as it might) and was a standalone alien/sci-fi/action flick. Not buying it from what I've seen.

Exactly . The first thing that came to my head was “This looks cliche” . The whole movie is preety much layed out in the trailer.
