i agree, why not just make a generic original monster movie? i mean thats basically what this is aside from the names of the characters

I'd expect it, even if it's only in name. Otherwise it's some weird what if? Venom tale. ...more so than it already is.

Okay, I had to get out my Infinity War crazy before I really looked at this film.

Since it's only a trailer I don't know how much I'm going to put into it but from what I'm seeing I don't think Spider-man will tie into it like some of you do.

I think this film exists purely outside of MCU continuity and I think because of whatever deal Sony struck with Marvel they aren't going to even try tying this in because I think that there are contracts in place.

Second, I can not believe that the digital effects are being done by Weta digital but they are. So I'm going to have to believe they are unfinished in this trailer. I'm sorry, but compared to the effects they usually do and how wonderful a job they usually put out Venom looks like a sloppy mess.

I also know that Tom Hardy is a good actor, and I've never seen him do a bad job in any role. So I think this film will be well acted, however the story, or the little we get of it, seems contrived. Almost like it's taken in part from the 90's animated series but skips the Spider-man parts.

I also noticed the title placard, "In Association With" Marvel, I'm wondering how deep that goes and if they were told to add that to the placard because of Marvel's use of Spider-man and trying to differentiate this from other Marvel films.

I think the teeth need more of a jagged and imperfect overbite.

I don't like the voice of Venom at all. Sounds like a bad Dr Claw impression. "I'll get you next time Gadget!"

But this film's effects look much better than Spiderman 3 which is what totally killed off Venom's movie future till now.

really hope not. Venom can stand alone as a character if they just do it right.

I like the trailer. First time I saw it I wasn't 100% on the face but after watching it a few times I've grown to like it.

I feel like I'm "settling" for this movie based on what I've seen. Hope I'm proven wrong but definitely something off with it a this point

Tom Holland is all but confirmed to be in the new Venom ...no news if he is just playing Parker or has his Spidey suit. It is also said its more of a Cameo.
