The picture of the art in the mailbox puts the thousand in "a picture is worth a thousand words"

So...I've gotten an update...I complained to the AusPost Escalations centre...and they're filing for me me to get refunded, thanks to an awesome consultant that was reasonable.
This was one of his replies to me:

The Delivery Centre attempted to deny the damage and said it was damaged before it arrived.
I then sent them your photos and asked why we had not used the “repaired by Australia Post” tape.
They came back to me and said they made the error.

So overall, YAY...however, I have to wait for a week for the cheque to come in...so I'm crossing my fingers that nothing goes wrong.

Given the circumstances, it sounds like a good result!

Good result financially but a bummer to lose the art. And I can't believe they attempted to deny they did the damage.

Yes, in transit the package was bent in multiples places to fit in a mailbox.

Yeah...it's positive in the sense where I'm getting $$ back, but the most important part is that the artwork is damaged. TT___TT
Looks like I'll just have to get another artwork from Freddie....I'm still skeptical until i actually get the cheque in my hands.

hahaaha, yeah, they "pre-folded" the package/artwork to make sure it fits into my mailbox during transit, just so they can definitely squeeze in there. Seriously...what sorta garbage is that?! ah well...postmen will be postmen i guess.

So, super UPDATE...I've received my cheque, and looks like Australia Post finally took responsibility all thanks to an escalations consultant by the name of Paul Le Good.

Case Closed.

Great to hear everything worked out in the end Terence (bar of course the small matter of having to get more artwork from Freddie).
