Stolen art

Today is a sad day for me because at WW Portland, Stan Lee was supposed to sign on my first ever jam piece and finalized it. My friend had been bringing this around cons for almost a year now.

It started with Ryan Stegman on the layout and Superior Spiderman and Humberto Ramos worked on the Amazing Spiderman and Edgar Delgado did the colors with markers.

It was already on their booth on Saturday, on the things to get signed stack. Later they realized it was missing. It was stolen

They have filed a police report but I wanted to share this here, hoping for you con-goers, in case you ever go to a con and see this, please let me know.

I really thought today was going to be the day I'd see this finalized

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Thats lame. im sorry you had to fall prey to the scum of humanity. To quote Eomer "Look for your art, but do not trust to hope. It has forsaken these lands".

This is why you should never have others handle these things for you, or leave your art in the care of others. If I want something signed, I bring it with me and it stays with me the whole time. No one will ever care about your stuff, as much as you will.

I have to agree, I'm borderline obsessive about this. I will only ever leave something with the artist themselves and then it's only the piece that they are working on, jam or whatever.
