Yea.
Now you just multiply it by a bayformer and you get this thread.
This the part of the math I do not like.

This is much more streamlined a sculpt, more anime like, than the clunky mismatches of a bayformer.

I think Alex just mentioned to expect it for PO in 2016, first six months of 2016 if memory serves. Probably going to see an official announce more towards end of the year/beginning of new year?

Well have to agree to disagree on this one. Since I never followed the show, is there actually any logic or reasoning applied to his color, or is it just "he looks that way because he looks that way"? Was it a mad scientist/artist that was partly responsible for creating him? See, now that kind of thing I would/could understand. Artists coming out of a meeting explaining that he is going to look like that, for no real reason beyond the high speed collision with the color wheel....well, that I just don't get.

It was a kid's show. He is strongly colored in base primary and secondary colors likely to appeal to children just like so many cartoons and the Power Rangers. Children identify simple colors as they are just learning them.
Also the controlling characters wore matching colored suits which helped identify who drove what.
No bad mouthing one of the greatest robots ever and my favorite shows from kindergarten!

I like you, OrangeCrush, but you will watch your tone when addressing the Defender of the Universe.
Red Lion. Blue Lion. Yellow Lion. Green Lion. And Black Lion.
And that's all there is to it.

The lions were roughly attached to different elements which were where they were "resting". They also had some powers specific to these associations.

Bayformers designs are largely illogical. Pieces exist and move around for no practical reason. This Voltron is simply more detailed than the original. Most of the extra detail is in connecting parts, which makes more sense than a simple "peg". This is more akin to Pacific Rim to me, which is a far cry from Bayformers.
