Lizard Fun Facts:
Real Name: Dr. Curtis Connors
Height: 5'11" as Connors, 6'8" as Lizard
Weight: 175 lbs. as Connors, 550 lbs. as Lizard
Eyes: Blue as Connors, Red or yellow as Lizard
Hair: Brown as Connors, No hair as Lizard
First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man # 6 (November 1963)
Trivia:
As the Lizard, Dr. Connors has superhuman strength, speed, and agility. He has a thick, near impenetrable hide, a long tail that he can whip at high speeds, he can scale walls, and even heal and regenerate lost limbs. The Lizard can also mentally communicate and command all reptiles within about a mile.

Sculpt: 10 / 10

Fantastic sculpt all around. Great size makes the Lizard truly a formidable looking foe for Spider-Man. I really love the herringbone texture on the pants, giving them a very realistic look. The flailing lab coat gives a sense of movement and action. Both portraits are amazing...the modern portrait has a komodo dragon mixed with a t-rex vibe, while the classic portrait is very reminiscent of the Lizard's original comic appearances way back in the early 1960's. And the claws...wow...they really add an element of danger to this piece...the Lizard truly looks terrifying!

Paint & Mixed Media: 9 / 10

Another amazingly clean paint job from XM. Perhaps the lab coat has a tad too much of that "fresh out of the wash" look for being part of a sewer scene, but nonetheless still looks good. The clothing is painted up in the classic colours, black shirt and a purple tinge to the pants. The skin could have used some additional shades to hep bring out the amazing texture, but again, still has a quality finish. The murky, dirty sewer water effect on the base is really well done.

Design: 10 / 10

At it's core, this statue is just another one leg up museum pose, but there is nothing boring about this piece! For me, the statue oozes power and potential energy...he looks truly ready to launch an attack. The gnarled fingers and coiled posture, and whipping tail add such a sense of energy to the piece. This statue is a perfect example of how a standard pose doesn't have to look standard at all.

Production & Build Quality: 10 / 10

What can I say here...the build on this piece is exceptional. The body is largely one piece, with the heads, forearms/hands, and tail coming as separate pieces. The tail is a little tricky to get into place, but is doable with some patience. The base is also largely one piece, with only a small beam at the front as a separate piece.

The statue is VERY heavy and occupies a lot of space with its large diameter base. Ensure you have ample shelf space to display this guy.

Overall: 9.8 / 10

Simply one of the best Spider-Man statue villains produced to date by any company. The statue just exudes action, agility, and strength...the perfect combination for this reptilian enemy. I can't recommend this statue enough to Spider-Man fans!
