Strange that they wouldn't know or at least have any say in the matter.

I don't buy that response. Either they personally don't know the answer, or they just don't want to say, to avoid starting a riot. I can't believe this type of decision is left up to the factory, not to mention, they can go ahead and price the statue without knowing that fact.

I'd bet it's hollow. I hope it's not, but I feel it will be.

Having said that, I'm still very tempted to get it, the hollowness is not a deal breaker for me.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

If its hollow, its not a deal breaker for me either. Its not like I plan on carrying it around with me. Once its on a shelf it won't matter how much it weighs.

Like I mentioned in the other thread. I personally like to feel a little weight on a statue. If it's hollow it feels cheap to me. It's not a deal breaker but I'd prefer it not be hollow.

Better get some museum putty when the earthquakes come lol. I'm in the SF Bay Area and that is what I will do if I buy this statue and it's hollow casted.

sounds like it will not be solid but not many statues are these days.

from Randy: I've requested that the factory cast the base solid (for stability), and cast the figure as semi-hollow, with a thick inner wall. It will still have heft to it.

This is a no-brainer must buy for me!
