Yup, Paul is away. Paul says the pieces opened look fine.
How does he know? Did someone send him pictures?

Hello Everyone!!

Please pardon the delay for photos. We received 22 of our 32 pallets of the Breakout T-Rex and the Stegosaurus shipments yesterday, so all hands were on deck to unload, sort, reorganize and begin QC. We thank you so much for your patience while we QC and begin shipping these out.

We are incredibly proud of the way this piece turned out. We always work to be honest with our fans and hope that our team has been helpful when you call and email. Heather, Judson and Amy (me :-) are more than willing to answer any questions you have or help you with receiving your pieces.

This is by far my favorite piece we've done. We pulled random units to photograph alongside the approved paint sample that is pictured on our product pages and on our social media. We hope you enjoy!

Stego photos are being shot as I type, so I should have those up before the end of today.

Thanks for the pics. Are there any close up shots? Especially the mouth teeth area? Thanks.

Something like this.

Pretty much what we've already seen.
#161 looks pretty poor...

Sample is great, #1 looks good. #161 not so much. That is a LOT of difference there.

It's obviously not the prototype, but as factory paints go, it really isn't bad. What these pictures do show however is a fair bit of variation, some have a lot more speckling than others. Depending on the look people prefer, it may come down to luck of the draw. I actually quite want one now...

EDIT: That said, I focused on the one on the right and then realised after posting that it was the sample. The others aren't bad however.

I wouldn't want to be the person getting number 161... It's not even come out of the moulds properly. Number 1 looks good, but I really think to settle people's nerves you're going to have to photo more than a random and number 1...

Sample should be one picked off the line though, but it looks much better than the real production pieces. Even the base is much more detailed.

I agree, but we all know how questionable these early production samples are. It definitely has better weathering and much more refined/subtle paint. But I don't think the others are a disaster by any means.
