So, I am tempted to give Sucker Punch a try...but am totally unfamiliar with the premise of the movie. It looked decent from previews...but then didnt do very well at the box office.

Has anyone seen it and give me some insight??

You're better off going in completely blind and forming your own opinion. This film has people split down the middle probably more than any in recent memory. Those who don't like it REALLY don't like it. Those that did enjoy it tend to admit it isn't a perfect film but seem to have an appreciation for the art direction and character design. Thats not to say the narrative is weak because IMO it isn't. I just think a lot of people formed expectations of something completely different or don't understand the message the film tries to convey. Its actually a much more cerebral experience than most give it credit for but like I said it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

As a fan of Waterworld you probably understand exactly where I'm coming from.

Just blame HB if and when the movie turns out to be a horrible train wreck.

That is what I am going to do. I even got HB's approval!

Please do, I take full responsibility.

Still trying to figure out how I became the official endorser of Sucker Punch.

Don't think about it, just accept it.

Believe it or not I've never seen Blue Velvet. Looking forward to my first viewing on Blu-ray.
