REVIEW
Design: 8
Moxxi's design accurately reflects the cell-shaded design of the Boarderlands. I'm not sure what inspired the sitting pose but is a change of pace from standing.

Sculpt: 10
The sculpt provides an accurate representation of the video game 3D character of Moxxi. The sculpted designs are reflective of the video game design.

Paint & Mixed Media: 7
The paint application ranges from the crisp deatils of the swirls, the make up and her tattoo, to the sloppy fishnet coloring

Production & Build Quality: 7
This statue definitely looks like the factory took the opportunity to make as few parts as possible reduce costs. Unfortunately, this results in a subpar execution. The seamline and attachment of the coattails is poorly done. I have seen a better job of PVC on the anime statues I own where the facture cast multiple parts to maximize details. This statue could have benefits from such approach. But give the price and size, I understand the trade off. Personally I would have paid more for a criper looking statue. Not sure how much I would have paid should she be made of resin.

Final Comments:
The Moxxi figure is 100% PVC while the base is resin. This statue looks good from the sides and the back, but the way the coat tails were done looks bad from the back. As an owner of other PVC statues from Kotobukiya, Griffon, Daiki Kougyo, Megahouse and more, I have seen better execution of PVC design, construction and paint. Overall, the statue is not bad given the relatively low price and large size. The base has a scuff on the front end and the figure has some paint scuff marks on her right upper leg and the bullhorn. The paint application on the stockings is sloppy as there isn't complete coverage. The factory should have taped the two haves of the plastic protective shell together so it wouldn't shift in the box. Overall, the execution could have been better, but the final score reflects the value of the statue with its low MSRP. There were defintely some trade-offs in order to reduce costs to get this statue produced as I don't know how much in demand she would be at $250 or more if done better and in the style of resin statues.

OVERALL SCORE: 8

Thank you Jedi for this great review. To bad that they skimp on certain areas.
But all and all not a bad statue, especially for the price.

There was another version of her but not by Chronicle, but Gearbox which is the makers of this game. THis version includes Gentlemen Claptrap. So you get two figures in one for 225.00 which is resin...Below is the link..

I personally didn't like the paint application on her face from the gearbox version, though you would think they would get it right. This one also had problems with arriving broken it seems.....

While not quite the type of statue I would consider purchasing, it's nonetheless nice to see a different brand of statue being reviewed at the forum. Thanks for posting!
