Intermittent fasting and heart health

For anyone who does intermittent fasting, there are conflicting studies/views/opinions about how it is linked with heart health. Personally, I?m someone who finds this interesting since I am now officially in my 50?s. My heart is in great shape because of diet and exercise and I plan to keep it this way. Haven?t talked to my doctor yet about this study but I plan to. I?m no expert on the subject of fasting but I do this on occasion so I?ll be keeping my ears open.

Are there studies that specifically show the benefit of intermittent fasting, vs regularly spaced meals, when keeping total calorie intake equal?
