You are one of these guys wanting only full-sculpt and talking night and day....Pal, some statues need mixed media, other statues need full-sculpt. There is a bunch of guys who nearly convinced Sideshow to go full-sculpt (as XM does). THANK GOD, we survived that or else an XM Luke full-sculpt would be the norm.
If you cant understand why some statues need mixed media and why other statues need to be full-sculpted, it would be better to exit the hobby. You are going to lose TONS of money on sculpts, noone is going to buy some years down the road.
The original Captain America is still the KING. Period. NO further discussion.
Im still praying this is a new LSF. The pose looks epic! THIS is a pose for a LSF, Sideshow. Not the ATROCIOUS one for the new Batman LSF.

Some statues work well with mixed media but that OG Cap wasn't one of them imo. The mixed media ruined the lower half of that statue. Also why every time I see the Colossus PF, I'm reminded of a doll too with the mixed media it was given. if you want to see mixed media that actually works well, look at the OG Thor.

OG batman pf imo would've been the best SS mix media, and 1/4 batman to date had it turned out near proto.

I agree to an extent the OG Cap needed improvement but only a slight one, the shorts. It could have been shorter at the legs. Other than that, it is the best 1/4 Cap out there. Every other company try to capture heroic pose but none does quite as good as the OG one.
I think the Colossus PF is quite good too. My 2 problem with it has nothing to do with the mix media; hands are too small and he is looking down. I can never understand why sculptors do that.
