Oh yeah, I'm all over this one. I loved the first one and it's been way too long a wait for this sequel. I love the slow motion effect. Watching a frag blow and having the nazis flying through the air in slo mo rules. Some nice destructible environment physics too. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

I had the first one too and loved how it was different to all the other fps at the time.
If you went in with all goods blazing you were gonna get wasted

Yeah, no doubt. I love the squad command aspect and the cover system. It really makes you think about how to handle the situations. It's great to lay down suppression and successfully flank the enemy and mow them down. It's gonna be even cooler now that the cover is destructible and with slo mo! hehe I really dig that feature as you can tell

I have the first two on the PS2 and they are still great games.
I've read some of the previews about the new 360 version though, and they say that it's not the next-gen leap as it should be.
It's still the same old surpress and flank gameplay but with slo-mow and destructible enviroments.
I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks.

So far it's been pretty cool. The controls/gameplay take some getting use to. I played the first one on PC, so it's a steep learning curve to do it all with a controller. I've gotten more than a few team mates killed because I hate the wrong button.
The environments aren't as destructible as I'd hoped. It's not as cool as say..Bad Company, but it's still pretty cool. In fact, it's nowhere near as destructible as Bad Company since almost nothing can be destroyed. Just wood things, vehicles and sandbags. Slo mo gibs are always fun to watch. The games pretty strict on the suppression/flanking thing. You have to do it that way or you're toast. You get killed in a hurry in this one and so does your squads if you don't do things exactly right. Run across a gap without adequate suppression fire and you're probably going to get lit up.
The guns seem a tad more accurate this time. It's still tough to score a good hit, but it's not the 1 out of 20 ratio it was in the first one. The Thompson is decent and the Garand is great, but don't even bother shooting unless it's down the sights or you won't hit the broad side of a barn.
