ACRYLIC SILVER SPECKLING PAINT..WHERE TO GET

hey guys..i been commission to repaint a bowen fb silver surfer statue, the customer wants just the figure painted but in a silver with a speckling effect..i think i had seen some of this done but can not find the threads. will this type of paint be okay to spray through a airbrush?..i think micheals has a deco art paint acrylic basedcalled sparklingsilver..not sure if thats it. the effect im trying to achieve is like on the bowen captain marvel genis veil mod version...hey john..vince veil..need some advice..lol

Did you ever find the paint you're looking for? I use that type of paint often -what I use is "Auto-Air" silver base coarse. Comes in bottles - typically 6oz. - relatively cheap too. It is water based and sprays just fine through a .3 aribrush tip. You will need to coat is with a topcoat. I use it with good results.

Sorry guys - I've seen them on eBay quite often, but otherwise, I usually get them from TCP. I was mistaken about the 6oz. bottles - it is 4oz. Here is the direct link...

no..i used delta ceramacote acrylic paint metallic silver and the results were great!!..and the client loved it..you can view it here..http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=114904
