Behind the scenes look at ARH production

I thought I would share a few pics of the mold making at ARH Studios. It takes a lot of time and energy to create an entire statue and this will help you guys see some of that process.

Here are some pics of the Valkyrie molds. These molds actually had to be done twice because of some fitting issues with the first sculpture. The sculpture was tweaked to be perfect and new molds were made. This is why some have been delayed but the first few are shipping next week and look stunning!

Very cool pics! Thanks for sharing!

I always love to see behind the scenes pics on how things are made.

Previous Version Pics Comparison

From the initial order, i had received the first one as a test order. These are previous pictures of the statue. I had to do some repair to get it somewhat standing. Has a lean problem thou. Im assuming it was corrected with the new base. Quite a difference in the pieces works from what i can tell!! The sculpt looks good there ARH!

Yeah there were a few issues with the way the feet fit into the base so we made that larger. We also inserted slots for the magnets on the second molds to make production much faster and connected the legs to the waist and the arms to the torso as solid pieces for faster production and a more solid statue. Looks like you were able to repair the problem quite well. Looks great!

Nice job House! I have only seen the kit in person (Shedman got one of those) and not a painted statue. I really like this one and if I didn't already have the ARH Valkyrie in a boat I would have for sure ordered one.

No not that I am aware of. The only thing on the head we changed was creating pre-drilled spots to glue the magnets on the little wings that snap on to her head. The face and eyes are the same as far as I am aware.

Here are a few pics of some other molds I worked on at ARH studios. A while back I had to remold the body of a Frazetta girl as well as the two sabertooth tigers standing on each side of her. These were a bit complicated to keep from locking up with only two halves but I made it work. We have been rotocasting some of the tigers and they are turning out perfect so far!
