Tariffs (U.S. Imports)
Anyone concerned about upcoming tariffs?
Got a few POs worth a couple grand not sure how this is going to work for P1.

Yes. For many reasons major tax increases will be difficult to manage financially.

If I go for the tax inclusive option(Standard Shipping) I won't have to pay more since it will be paid by the shipping company?

There are two scenarios I see assuming the taxes remain in place.
1. You get hit with a surprise extra cost (10%-60% depending on what you ordered and form where).
2. Companies eat it short term and then price in the tax for future orders.
Assuming these hold and it does get rolled back or whatever I am braced for just about everything to cost more in life.

Here in the UK we get hit with a 30% import fee on things like statues. Which is harsh.
Supposed a company such as Sideshow imports a statue from China, i assume they will have to pay a new tax, which will be passed onto the consumer, which means here in the UK we will pay 30% import on something that has already had a new level of added tax. If that is the case, i am so out of this hobby.
When if those outside the US purchase from the US, and the item ships direct from China to UK, bypassing the US. Is that possible?

The unpredictability of this is insane. Who can budget 10-60% for this? I think the intention is to get consumers to outright cancel their orders.

All questions nobody knows.
I bet even locally outside USA, statue shops will increase (again).
Every % due to tariff war will be forwarded towards customers around the world RIP

I have the Pfeiffer Catwoman coming directly from Prime 1 and she just hit the waters Tuesday so I'll find out what kind of affect the Tariffs will have soon enough, it normally takes about a month by boat. If I'm hit with the 25% Tariff then that would more than likely end my direct order from Prime 1.
I'm assuming these Tariffs will raise the costs of an already expensive hobby so I'll probably resort to waiting until the statues I want are on Facebook Marketplace or eBay. CRAZY TIMES!

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

It's probably safe to assume that more than 90% of the statues regardless of brands are manufactured in China which is hit with a 34% tariff in the latest round. There was already a 10% tariff on Chinese products a month ago if I remember correctly. Does it mean the total tariff is now 44% for consumers importing Chinese products in the US? Even if someone purchases his statue directly from the statue company like P1, the statue is likely shipped out directly from the factory in China instead of Japan, I assume. I don't expect to see any tax saving ordering direct from any of the companies. I highly doubt if any of the retailers will absorb the tariff for their customers. Every penny of the tariff will likely be passed onto their customers. Current prices prior to the tariff war as they are now are already insane for many. This is going to destroy this hobby once and for all. Some call this tariff a national sales tax for Americans. It will likely generate an enormous amount of revenue for the US government to pay off part of the debt at the expense of the US economy and world trade. I tend to agree with that.
