Personally, I'm going to wait until I receive them in hand before making a decision.

Like you, I'm guessing that I'd probably settle for what it is rather than customise it (based on pics posted so far), unless my particular piece is an outlier (in a bad way).

That's the thing though mrcocopops,
The customizations will not hurt re-sale. The original costume will be intact. And you could just swap everything back to the original.
This is truly just a "change of cloths"
