I can't stop seeing the moustache on Iron man...
could never hang it on the wall without laughing every time I saw Iron Man's stache.

How unfortunate.
The sad truth abut these prints is that due to the price they have to be 100% flawless to me. I'm not sure if that's ever possible, but it's definitely not the case here.
Iron Man doesn't jive with me, and Thor's veins are distracting and not needed...

and I freakin' LOVE the Avengers!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Here are more INFO about this MARVELOUS MASTERPIECE:

IRON MAN: In my case, I do not have any problems with the "LIGHT REFLECTIONS" visible in IM's FACEPLATE. If you think about it, the "round light" on IM's Mask forehead is more disturbing.... but since I have a book which shows Alex Ross using "actual models or people to pose" to do his artworks (especially for those portrait styles artworks), then I guess the "VISIBLE LIGHT REFLECTIONS" in IM's ARMOR is as real as it gets!

THOR: I love his "LIGHTNING-LIKE VEINS" !

If you guys noticed.... Alex Ross changed the position of his Arrows:

* Concept Drawing: The Arrows are hanging on the right side of Hawkeye's Back.

* Final Artwork: The Arrows are hanging on the left side of Hawkeye's Back.

I love the position of the ARROWS on the "Concept Drawing" since they are "MORE VISIBLE".... But I understand why Alex Ross changed their position since in the comics, the Arrows are really in the Left Side of Hawkeye's Back.

"then I guess the "VISIBLE LIGHT REFLECTIONS" in IM's ARMOR is as real as it gets!"

This is a big problem when artists try too hard to capture "realism". They can't step away from it and just look at the image. It doesn't matter if the armor refections are "real". It matters if it looks good in the artwork. In this case, to me it doesn't work. The refections are distracting and look unintentionally silly.
But that's just me, and my opinions matters not as long as these babies sell.

You can reserve or pre-order as early as now from any of the galleries carrying Alex Ross Giclees.

The earlier one commits to buy the better, because there is a better chance to choose & to get the desired number.... especially since only the 1st 100 Paper Pieces will include a GICLEE PRINT of Alex Ross original Drawing.

This will be featured at SDCC (July 21-25, 2010)... but the worldwide release date will be by July 27, 2010
