too true. i do love the ritual of the movie theater, but it has to be worth it to me. i'm much more comfortable at home, not surrounded by movie-going "humanity," and not spending upwards of $20 for less than 2 hours' dubious entertainment. More & more, when a movie tries REALLY hard to get me to go see it, i realize that it doesn't deserve my time & money. Big money-factories like the summer blockbuster are about butts-in-seats, not about inspiring entertainment.

yeah--i hope to God it's better than the first. As an intro to Mignola's BRILLIANT series, the first movie was fun & spirited, but the SECOND you try to follow the actual plot, you're dooooooooooooomed to a long & boring death. And someone PLEASE wake up Selma Blair when the camera's on her--her character is supposed to be ON FIRE, for Chrissakes & she's acting like she's doped up on Benadryl.

Wow. I actually knew the answer to today's trivia question, and the bonus. Too bad it's speed-based, and I was too late to submit.
