This did a lot to show world building and characterization. The mess hall scene was genuinely suspenseful to me and I love how Filoni knows this world and its history.

The Empire is cruel and harsh, and yet felt its most human in this too.

In terms of Din's personal journey I actually saw this as the "turn" on his beliefs that will likely pay off next season.

I hope he stays true to the Watch and keeps their code. For the most part anyway. Hopefully he was doing what Mayfield was talking about. Sticking to your set of beliefs until things get complicated.

It gives it wiggle room either way.

Why do we adhere to codes? Communal pressure? Tradition? Coercion?

Have to see, but I trust the show runners to handle it in interesting way given what they've done thus far.

Really excited for finale next week. Have a sense Din, Boba, and Bo Katan take on Gideon for the Dark Sabre.

Yeah as soon as I seen the new look I was wishing for a new PF or something to go with my original PF Boba. Just thinking of Displaying OG Boba , Mando and new School Boba all in their glory.
