Peanuts Meets Marvel: The Exhibition

Well, not quite. But, as some of you might be aware, thanks to the magic of the internets (and in no small part as a result of this very forum) two of my occasionally popular Peanuts Meets Marvel pictures have been included in the Pop'd From The Panel exhibition at the Charles M Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California.

Crazy, I know.

I visited the museum for a signing in August, and have to say, it's an amazing facility. I highly recommend it to anyone with even the slightest affection for Peanuts. And if you happen to be anywhere near Santa Rosa before December, you can catch a glimpse of my two pieces before feasting your eyes on the real works of art in the exhibition, such as Andy Warhol's Superman and Mickey Mouse pieces hanging directly opposite.

(By the way, I learned during my afternoon at the museum, that they found my work whilst searching for a piece by Picasso. Now that's one hell of a Google Fail.)

Anyhoo, here are a few pics from my 15 minutes of fame in August. Warhol already had his turn.

Thanks all! I'm reworking a couple more oldies right now, the same way that I completely redid these ones to work large. The colours on the canvases were amazing - I finally see what all the fuss was about with canvas giclees.

I was working multiple jobs earlier in the year, which is why I didn't get much done, apart from these two pieces, and why I haven't been on forums really in an absolute age. I am hoping to get to spend more time with a pencil in my hand going forward.

That's a rarity, a Peanuts Meets Marvel in ink and watercolour.

This is the first time I'm seeing your stuff and I love it! Super huge congrats on the canvas wall love too

Is the Snoopy-Venom that CKinSD is referencing the same that's in print on the table in your pic??? I think it would be great for you to do something with Lucy and she has always amused me with her antics.
