Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

You are late to the Party guys. Here in Germany we have this discussion already a few weeks. Many of us (me inclusive) were not believing it, but Besta and Tombos gettig no longer produced.
Since Ikea has the same programm all around the world I not believe it stopps just only here.

No, I believe the double BESTAs are no longer being sold, but the single column ones are perfectly fine. They discontinued the TOMBO doors, but have since come out with a replacement line. They might even be coming out with a door that is the length of the display, as it was hinted in the instruction books for the smaller doors

I have two bestas and I wouldn't buy them now anyways. The Pax is by far the superior shelving unit. Much more room to play with.

Relatively, not really. You get a lot more room. I consider it a far better investment.

Agree for the size the price is not much more

Here the unit is $100, wood shelves 2 pack $25, 1 glass shelf $25, I highly recommend the glass as the wood on mine eventually warped

Oh also forgot they have a smaller unit as well, I went for the really large case I think it is 94"
