IDW Collections
Does anyone have any of the hardcover collections IDW has put out for Transformers, TMNT, or G.I. Joe? I was a big fan of all three franchises growing up and wondering if the comics are worth checking out. I see the first volume of Transformers is sold out though.  I’ve also heard they jumped all over the timeline for Transformers in the beginning.

You can get the first volume of Transformers from instocktrades.com. I only have the TMNT ones. You can check out youtube reviews of them to see if you’d like them.

Don't worry for any out of stock volumes 'cause it's temperory, IDW contantly reprints its TF volumes. I have all the phase 1 and first 3 volumes of phase 2.  So far i read first 3 volumes of phase 1 and they were pretty good.

Good to know! I've heard they are doing a hard reboot of the Transformers at the end of Phase 3.

Really ? this is the first time i have ever heard about this. Everyone says Phase 2 is amazing, better than phase 1 and i read first 3 OHCs of phase 1 and they were pretty good so i have big expectations for Phase 2. Did they tell when would the phase 2 end ? which OHC volume number will be the last ?

I never really read anything produced by IDW. The only things I have from IDW are the Marvel Covers Artist Editions and the Walt Simonson Manhunter Artist Edition. I love those books but I hate that they are so pricey.

I realize this isn't Transformer nor G.I. Joe related, but, so far, I've bought 10 hdbk volumes of IDW's Chilling Archives & am very satisfied. Great binding, great color reproduction, thoughtful forwards. IDW does an excellent job on these, so if it's quality you're worried about, have no fear.
